Question HELP! WRX STI RA

I am looking to buy a scooby for rallying, I'v been rallying a Peugeot 205 for over 5 years now and want to take a big step up. I will be using the car for single venue tarmac rallies (Clubman level). I was going to get a prepared car but after looking at the price of them i would be dreaming if i thought i could afford one. So after a lot of research on companies who could weld in a 10 point cage and the prices of the extinguishers, sump and tank guards, this is my only option. On my budget i will have about £3500 to £4000 to get the car its self. I've looked at revievs and also bits on this forum and decided the only version for the job would be a WRX STI RA. As i've never run a subaru before are there any problems i should be aware of or look out for before parting with my very hard earned cash?? I'm looking for around a 94/95 WRX STI RA with about 60,000 miles on the clock. Has anyone ever had any problems with these cars and what are the areas i should look for when buying one?

Thank you for any help you can give.

Chris

I've got one, burnt out a piston, it's got an Apexi AFC on it which might've been making it run lean.

Thanks so leaving it on standard running gear should result in no problems.
