Default Good news for import buyers

I have been reliabley informed that if you have a stamped service book with your imported car then Subaru HAVE to honour the warranty . All main dealers should have had an internal letter telling them this fact.

The European commission will fine Subaru severely if they don't abide with the current Law.

I have had a letter faxed to my main dealer telling them they must carry out all warranty work on any import.

Hope this message calms all import buyers nerves as Subaru have been very difficult in the warraty issue.

If they can stay in business by selling service work only that is...(which no dealer can!)..

Are we talking specifically about EU imports, or JDM too?

£300 x 60months =£18000 + 35% deposit =£24300..!

Not too bad if PPP is included, however I'd still see what 24K would get me at Litchfields..!

Default warranty

To my knowledge this ruling only affects cars bought from EU countries i.e Malta, Cyprus etc .

If the EU countries source their cars from Japan then the ruling still applies.
Hope this helps
