Default Steel Bends..

Need to get on and make some new headers for the car..

Does anyone know where I can buy some mild steel bends from? a couple of 45's and a few 90's are all I really need..

Could use stainless but would rather use mild for ease of cutting..

Any contacts?

Cheaper the better..

Ideally around 1.5" dia.

David,
Someone like http://www.maniflow.co.uk/ should, i would have thought be able to assist, or maybe H&S... pretty much any exhaust maker would be able to make bends to what you want....

Ah, well, if you want cheap, scour the scrap yards looking for pipes with the right bends on em..... trouble is, most 'modern' exhausts are a nightmare to weld.....

David, you could try these guys. I've had a few exhausts made up in the past and found them to be reasonably priced and effective.

Cheers.

However... Forget exhaust suppliers though.. I just want to buy 'pre made' 90's and 45's in the right diameter

Probably an expensive option - have you checked Demon Tweeks, IIRC they sell various bends/exhaust parts so that you can make your own, I think they were supplied by Jetex so should be of reasonable quality.

Why forget them? They have what you want and I'm sure they'll supply you if you explain your reasons.

Bosal do assorted bends and angles in their catalogue. If you can find a stockist local to you they should be able to order them in

I've had a few Bosal reducers and Y-pipes off them before. They are aluminised, but I've never found it a problem to weld if you give the edges a clean up first.

All my other exhaust bends come from the scrap yard
