Bad brake squeak - STi with DS 2500 pads
I fitted Ferodo DS 2500 pads over 1000 miles ago, and recently my brakes have started to make a loud squeal when braking, and it's so annoying! I noticed the original Brembo pads had an anti-squeal shim stuck to each pad, but the DS 2500's didn't, so I put a little copper grease on the back of each pad. They were squeal free for ages! Has anyone got any permanent cures please? Can I buy anti-squeel shims for these pads? Thanks in advance.

Anti squeal shim on back of Brembo pads should have gone back in with the DS2500s. Copper grease both sides of shims, bearing edges on ends of pads, and locating pin holes and bearing parts of spring clip. Got mine done like this and no squeals. Care not to get any on discs or pads !
