Question Annoying washers streaks

Anybody a cure for this on the bugeyes ?

Everytime I use the washers I get a small pool of water collecting on the end of the driver's side wiper.

Drving along this small pool then gets blown by the wind onto the screen and this dries leaving a trace right across my line of sight. Using the wipers to clear then creates a smearing screen

Try to clear the screen by using the washers and wipers = pool again.

So I can either have smears....or traces in front of my line of sight.

Are they the stock wiper blades that you have on it?

On my 05 STi the wipers that came with the car were crap... ended up replacing them with some Bosch ones.. now smear free and I'm much happier and safer on the motorways, dealer would not replace them despite them being sh1te from new :/

Just a thought for ya anyway.. stay away from the subaru wipers they seem to be pap.

Budgie,

No they're PIAA.

The problem is not that they smear - it's the little pool of water that collects at the end of the blade after the washers have been on

Dont think there is anything you can do to stop this happening. It annoys me as well. All i do is wait for a few secs after wipers have stopped and flick them to go once more to collect the water that has blown up the screen. It is a pain though. Too early then more water blows up. Too late then streaky window. Its enough to drive you nuts. Longer blade might help but then it would foul the top of the windscreen. Suicide is always an option.

PMSL!

I get a similar thing on my bugeye.

If its been raining and the car's soaked, water seems to flick up from somewhere at the front of the bonnet or from the headlamps or wherever.

I dont think its from the wipers as some of you say.

I just put it down to the shape/aerodynamics of the car, and also the fact that its always got a good layer of polish, so collects droplets of water all over when it's rained.
