I have just got a classic and have been sugested to get a magnex. They seem very well priced for cat back systems (£220-260ish) - yes that inc center pipe .

i cant find any sound clips though

You wont go wrong with a H&S, go for the classic style one. You wont be disappointed, and if you go to the Group Buy section on here, you'll be able to save yourself some money if you hurry up and get your name down.

As a new Scooby MY02 bugeye owner I went for a magnex 6x4 oval...Nice

Real burbly round town and loud over 4000 RPM

Try Revolution Motorstore as they might have some left over from there x-mas sale !!

H&S original scooby design all the way!

There is a group buy on at the moment in the group buy section.

I can vouch for a Magnex 6x4 Oval on my bugeye WRX too. Nice and burbly at tickover/low revs but not at all loud cruising on the motorway. Very well made as well.

In fact I'm considering swapping it for something louder (like a Ti-phoon!) because I've decided I can live with the cabin noise of a louder system.

PM me if you're interested in buying one?

I went for an HKS system (well just the back two sections so the Cat remains) and it sounds absolutely superb, 5 3/4" diameter (from memory)...On my 02wrx
Had a magnex on my 99 classic which didnt sound as good but was louder

Cool

I bought a MY02 WRX as my first Scooby a while back and had exactly the same problem. I drive around 20k miles a year in it and only wanted to hear the exhaust when pressing on or burbling around town.

I bought a Prodrive backbox (part of the PPP) brand new on Ebay (seem to be loads on there) and it's just what I hoped. Not too loud, but sounds great when you want it to!

Got the Scoobyworld Ninja backbox with Afterburner centre pipe on mine. Not to intrusive, but sounds great when putting your foot down. I didn't want the something that deaffened me like my last car, this is just right. Picture below although not that clear:

I've got a MY00 Classic T2000 and someone suggested to go for the Magnex 6*4 oval system. Had it fitted 1st cat back with rear decat and the sound is just about right, not too loud but sounds just right for the car
