Just curious....ever thought of having a "Killed" section?

just to stop everyone hijacking threads with I beat that and I beat this? (I know I know, I do it)

As my list is getting bigger and I like to share.....

 

Killed could mean 2 things then.... it would be a good section for all the cars that have died and are being sold for spares.....

 

Ok I mean killed as in owned, mannered, thrashed, spanked and taught other motors.....

Could have a Killed section as in dead scoobs but thats the for sale bit isn't it??

 

In the interests of fairness If we have an "I beat their car" thread, or, in South Park terms:

"Ibeeeeeetdercarrrrrrrrr"

We should also have an "They beat my car" thread, or, once again in South Park terms:

Deybeeeeeetmacarrrrrrr"

Not being funny, but racing on the highway is illegal. Who in their right mind is going to admit to it on a public forum?

By the way, you can "drive" your car safely and quickly on a public road without resorting to racing, which is generally at a traffic light grand prix in a built up area.

 

I drive my car hard. I have too, nobody looks even if I crawl along at 20mph.

Maybe you should bing your crew to a track day and realise than in fact you can't drive for ****

Usually, (in my pre-BMW days) I would rev the **** off the car and make him think I was up for it, then let him burn off in the distance like a right tit. Comedy value increases if you actually turn off left/right at the junction.

No, that was an example sparky, as apparantly no one wants to admit that it happens and the ones that do are naughty people who ruin it for everyone else.

I'm not saying a drive around racing anyone and anything but on the odd occasion somehting decent comes up I may have a little play. Then the other person normally puts his thumb up because they are just doing what I am..........enjoying their car.

So the start of this thread was should we have a seperate sections for people to say what they have or have not beaten in a race and so farall i've heard it we don't do that....ahem........yeah right.

TBH I don't particularly put much stock in "I beat this, and I beat that threads" Gentlemen don't gloat!

BUT Tripple O'G has a valid point: if you're not interested in performance and drive everywhere at 10% throttle then there really is not much point in paying through the nose for the running costs of a scooby- and I don't mean you have to drive irresponsibly either.

Show me a scooby owner that has never used the performance of their car to gain an on-road advantage and got a kick out of it I'll show you a liar or someone who doesn't deserve a scooby!

Even Pete recently put an Audi TT in its place

I agree a lot of garbage is spouted on this site by complete pikey’s but surely the “track day heroes” are almost as bad as the idiots that go on about street racing. It’s all well and good belittling the “average to poor” drivers out there, but how good in the great scheme of things are they themselves as the majority have never raced ? Strong competition is what you need, not being on track with a bunch of useless drivers.

For example everyone at work tells me what a fantastic runner I am as I annihilate the work running club week after week, but I am not stupid enough to think I am a running God, I do race and I’m distinctly average ……Amen
