HELP...Oil sender earthing Question????
Hey all,
Fitted my gauges yesterday,
Two of which are oil temp and oil pressure.
They are fitted in a sandwich plate between the oil filter and block.
They rely on good contact between the threads of the senders into the sandwich plate to provide a good earth in order to function.
So the instructions say to fit them without PTFE or Sealer of anykind.
However when i did that they leaked so i had to seal them, and they do not have a good earth contact.
Question is...
How can i go about getting a good earth whist remaining oil tight ???

They're just single electrical connection?
One solution would be a jubilee clip with the earth wire connected to it (solder, pop rivet and round terminal or whatever) then fix the jubilee round the hex bit of the sender. If you need to remove the sender at a later date then remove the jubilee first.
