Only seem to get waves from Classics
I dont want to moan that much, cos i think we are all generally a nice bunch, but i am noticing more and more that i only seem to get waves from Classic shape owners. New age and bug eye owners seem a little confused when they see me waving.
I dont know if its because the newer models have become more mainstream and the owners may not know what they have bought into (i see a lot of middle age to older men driving newer models) but the only newer shape (bug eye onwards) that seem to wave are all stickered up!
Is this just me, am i wierd? or is it cos i am a young girly driving a scoob that people seem to not wave as much? I wont stop waving, but its just nicer when i get a wave back!
Anyway, hope you all have a good new year, and if you see me driving round Sheffield in my scoob (classic mica red turbo with pink Scoobyclinic stickers) then give me a wave.
Thanks

Ok, sorry !! maybe i was generalising a little TOO much. There are bugeye and new age owners who DO wave, but the generally is its only classic shape owners who wave the most.
Sorry if i said anything i shouldnt have.

Hi...
Both me and the wife drive our 03 blobeye sti ppp around suffolk and norfolk, and any scoob gets a wave from either of us.....
Round here it's the classic owners who dont wave back! (not all!)
we will keep waving though................

I drive a bugeye and I always drive. I agree with the statement about the middle aged drivers not knowing what they've bought into. I find that a lot of newshape drivers don't wave back either.

I find its mostly classic drivers who dont wave, mostly young classic drivers who dont know about waving and look bemused when you either flash them or wave (or just ignore you )

I didnt realise what i bought into yesterday and admittedly have missed one or two waves. I'm endeavouring to make sure that i always get the classic lights flashing more often at you other drivers.

I have waved in a classic, P1 and still wave in my blobeye...the wave is also alive in MX5 (they even had a save the wave campaign) and SEAT Cupra circles.
Flash and wave from an 05 STi on the M4 on saturday....
My m8 just got an 06 wrx and is now a waver too...
I do notice that sometimes classics seemed surprised that a new age does the wave!!

i would say only about 50% of people wave back around here.
tis normally the middle aged folk who dont... maybe they don't know what they've got?!
im sometimes not paying 100% attention and miss someone waving at me until the last minute so i dont spose can complain too much.
just keep waving like an idiot! thats what i say, and thats what im gonna keep doing!

Pretty much given up waving. Used to do it all the time but now I feel kind off weird about it due to the number of non replies. I now treat people with a dose of arrogance unless they wave at me, then of course I reply.

I usually give a flash, or put my hazards on for a second, i find a lot of other scooby owners in my area (brighton) dont often wave back!!
Not to say all of them, but it is nice when i get a wave or a toot!!
