I've got a Tom Tom Go 700 which is in your price range. It has full European mapping and you can subscribe to a speed camera database and traffic reporting system as extras. I have both and they are very good. Another cool thing is the ability to connect to your mobile via bluetooth so that you can use the Tom Tom as a hands free unit to make and recieve calls. Of course you can also move it from car to car really easily. The battery life is around 8 hours but it has a cigarette lighter adaptor anyway. Sorry if this sounds like a sales pitch but I do like it.

....but most importantly you can add the SPEED CAMERA software to your TOMTOM and its all you need, software can be downloaded Free off the net too, I use a DELL PDA with tomtom5, I installed the Speed cam software and it does me a treat, whole lot only set me back £180 including P+P off ebay

www.pocketgpsworld.co.uk for Speed Camera databases for your TomTom.

If you've got a PDA or a Smartphone then get TomTom for it, if not then buy a TomTom Standalone unit. They are by a distance the best on the market.

Not much help, but I've just ordered a Navman 550 including the traffic module. Speed camera positions can be added, and it has UK and European roads (internal hard disk).

£530 from Halfords on-line, free postage.

Now I've got to wait up to 7 days...

Had you tried the Navman or any others before buying?
