Well you see , it's simple! The pig comes with koni suspension as standard doesn't it? With Koni suspension it will be amazing! Oh! but does the Cav have Koni suspension? You see a Cav with Koni suspension out performs everything on earth , so it is a very hard one!!!!

Buy a cav with KONI suspension.
15" rims as well, they provide the best handling, they compress like a pancake at the edges to avoid body flexing and body roll.

Ive just read that ferrari are approching vauxhall to build next years f1 car. Im guessing that it may bear a startling resemblance to a vauxhall cav, although im not sure which model yet. Even better is that ferrari will be able to have 4 other passengers to stick fingers up at David C, therby removing his psycological advantage.

Mclaren are apparently furious that this superior technology should be allowed on track, and are now in open discussion with Ford to gain exclusive right to fords Orion.
Although rumour also abounds that the vauxhall Nova is their favourite, due to the development work already undertaken by boy racers with their assorted bits of bodykit off other cars.

The lesser teams are now doomed to negotiate with other performance cars such as the fiesta and escort, with Minardi probably doomed to an Allegro.

It will be a very interested 2001 F1 season.

Spotted in Novenbers Rallysport Mag (I think!)

Quote from Colin McRae:-

"I wouldn't be nursing a fractured zygoma and bruised ribs if we'd only fitted the cavalier handling package, I know I slated it but I've learnt a lot from those experts on scoobynet"

Just to confirm JT's comments.
My company car is now at Luton having the latest CavKoni suspension setup fitted.

Thanks for all the tips I've found here on scoobynet and don't worry, I feel fine. Sheesh, saved me a pretty penny on the nose job I had booked and the black eye makes me look well 'ard.

I think you are all giving 6SSK a hard time. His comments are all tongue in cheek and deserve no more than a chortle from us.

Easy all.

After playing Need for Speed Porsche 2000, I think I'm qualified to speak about porsches and would thoroughly recommend a boxter.

I believe that much of the difference is in the mental makeup of the average Scooby driver versus the obviously more evolved Cavalier driver. The other factors are the lack of stickers on the top of the windscreen with the driver's and partner's name, fluffy dice, 'Max Power' stickers, and most importantly the coathanger aerial.

OK guys, I admit it, I have been wrong all along!!

I have just got back from an extensive test session at Donington after installing some Vauxhall Cavalier Struts/shocks and springs to my Westfield. All to the KONI Sport Spec of course!!

I have junked my alloy uprights and hubs; double wishbone independent rose jointed suspension and set the bump steer to match the characteristics of the cav.

WOW, what a car, instead of hitting 130MPH down craner I was taking it at 185MPH, the Lister storms were on track with me again and I lapped them every 3 laps.

I am so glad for the advice I received here on scoobynet; don’t know how I have coped for so long with such crap suspension.

I am at the Nurburgring in just over one week, I recon sub 5 minutes is on the cards now no problem, I just hope there aren’t any genuine UK spec cavs on the ring as I would hate to crash and burn trying to keep up with one of those.

John

But have you fitted the imitation tiger fur steering wheel cover, for that extra level of handling on the edge?

I knew there was something missing!

I remember Mario Andreti telling me some years ago, "use your fingertips to steer but keep them warm, tiger fur is ideal"

Got to be good for 195MPH down craner now, easy!

John,

Another top tip is to neglect the servicing completely. After 45,000 mile of this, it'll probably be blowing smoke like a good 'un. I know some people (who don't understand engines) think this is a bad thing, but they're obviously wrong.

After all, you're burning petrol AND oil, so double the power, right?

You bird I have heard from a brothers mates cousins sisters boyfriends uncles bosses trunk monkey who buy the way has a genuine 747bhp 22b and a road going Mig 25 engined Skyline good for 0 - 100 - 0 in 1.876 secs, that with the Cavknoi set up you should be able to pull a sub 2 min run round the Nordschliefe (SP, Bloody good go though)in a go ped engined westy so what are you playing at!!

Your clearly not thinking as a Cav driver.

I can't believe you lot. You claim you know so much about cars yet all of you have neglected to mention those little rubber strips that hang off the back bumper and touch the ground.

Any self respecting petrolhead knows these are good for +10mph through corners. Oh, and if they've got the "lightning" symbol its good for an extra 50 break.

Experts - pah!

You ignorant lot are probably not aware of the performance improvements LLMBI (LUDICROUSLY LOUD MEGA BASS ICE) has to offer.

Let me tell you that with the right thumping toonz, and volume 15.5 (earthquake level) selected the resultant door pumping vibrations is enough to radically alter the aerodynamics of the car due a vast reduction in drag.

Good for an additional 100bhp according to my mates brother.

Oh no, you should go for the Plastic Pig - no chance of lift-off oversteer in those! :-D

And I hear they're doing a limited-edition special now that production is due to end v. soon - surely a collector's item, on par with those limited-edition Allegros with metallic paint and silver side-strips. Now THEY were a REAL car!

I don't think you lot are showing 'nuf respect here.

I for one have changed the lettering on the back of my scoob to Impretza SRi.

I also managed to collect 4 placcy hub caps - you know the ones; there's always one at the side of the road and it's always a vauxhall one! - this should lay off the nova boys a bit.

If you decide to go for the placky pig and want a new one move quick...

Shock horror, Reliant are gonna stop making them soon

Just as I was sorting out importing one from Holland, where I understand you can get a new one for three and six, though you might have warranty problems, and the insurance companies just don't want to know...
