Default New Owner and Sportwagon Bumper Protection

Hi All

I have just picked up my new Impreza WRX Sportwagon today MY05, very impressed so far.

One of the reasons for going for the Sportwagon was the fact we have a Dog and needed the hatch capability.

The only thing that worries me is the rear bumper is quite wide and fear the dog might scratch it when getting in and out the car.

I have used ArmourFend products on a Caterham before and was hoping some one might be able to recommend a product which is easy to come by - i.e. halfords or such.

Any help would be much appreciated

Jason

Have you tried your local Subaru dealer?

My Wagon has a shiney (but frosty at the moment) Stainless Steel plate that covers the top of the bumper.

Cargo Step panel Stainless Steel 5 door (03MY-05MY)

Part No. E7710FE005 £ 69.95 (inc. VAT)

or they do one in black resin that is more practical.

Cargo step panel Resin 5 door (03MY-05MY)

Part No. E7710SE000 £ 49.95 (inc. VAT)

Either will last longer than an Armourfend type product (which I have all over the front of my Wagon)

Thanks for the pointers - looking at the link above the hatch bag seems a good option - I think I will invest in one - as it means i dont have to alter the car -

Thanks
