Default Power Steering

Can someone please try and give me some ideas on what they think this could be.Thing is when i start her up first thing in the morning the steering feels very lumpy (jerky) when sat on the spot as i reverse her out the drive and the speed increases it dosent seem that bad, ive checked the power steering fluid and there is plenty in, could it need changing, would that make any diffrence, or could it be the power steering pump itself or worse the stearing rack.I thought it was just when it was cold but ive now noticed its when ive been out on a run to, and as soon as i go to park up and im at a stand still i rock the stearing side to side its jerky lumpy thats the only way i can really describe it, like i say you cannot really notice it when your driving.Im very puzzled to what it could be, and im worried its somthing expensive.
Please someone come up with some ideas?

Sounds to me like somethings worn, e.g. trackrod end or bottom ball joint.
Is the pump cavitating, or making any noise?
