Scratches!
Can anyone recommend any products to get reasonably deep scratches out of paint work? I've already used T-cut but that didn't quite do the trick!

I'm also interested in finding this out. As either Pentagon or the local Subaru dealer has put a foot long scratch down the side of the bumper and about 6 inches high. I didn't notice until i washed it the w/end. Bloody marvellous!! Gonna chase them today, gets!

Ive tried colour magic with the chip stick but it probably wont get any better results than T cut. These scoobs do seem to scratch very easily as they have very thin paint. Ive caught my key on the car a couple of times which is probably more annoying than someone else doing it as youve no-one to go mad at. You could allways cover all the scratches with heaps of stickers. Make it look like a rally replica.

Most of the time when u get the car back from the garage its got nice big fresh scratches. Two reasons for this are:
A)The little 18 year old chav apprentice will be the one who fetches the car from the car park, to bring indoors(i've seen this many times).
B)Those stupid mats/covers they put over the front wings that are supposed to stop scratches have been lay on the dirty grit infested floor all day.

If it won't come out with T-Cut, then its probably too deep and you really should not go at it anymore or risk going through the lacquer..
Certainly would not suggest anything more abrasive than T-Cut unless you are feeling very brave, in which case you can try some 1200 grit wet and dry and a very, very gentle hand, then polish those scratches back with T-Cut or a milder cutting compound, but you have to know when to stop with the wet and dry or again risk going through the lacquer.
