They monitor this site and they take photos at trackdays .....

Why should sensible owners have to pay MORE for their extended warranties because of a few selfish, fraudulent owners??

get it remaped and be prepared to say bye to the warranty, you will need a full exhaust to make the most any hows

but I had mine done by Bob and never looked back

Oh, great!!

Pay all that money AND lose your warranty

That would be a good move then

I have had countless cars that Ihave owned remapped, I have never had warranty issues, if you don't tell them, it aint there.

With respect to exhaust you are correct, but a remap is still worth it. I haven't had my exhaust done yet, wont do so until the warranty runs out

Default Exhaust

Do you have to change your exhaust? , it seems to me if you keep your car for more than 3 years then you have to MoT the car. Won't the emissions be all over the place and possibily fail the MoT

As per post, to get the best from a remap you need an aftermarket exhaust, to get rid of a cat or 2.

You should leave at least one cat in place (on my 03 WRX there are 3), in order to see you right for the mot

it was the best move I have made with my subaru, I was so dissapointed in the car after 6 months,

Mine now feels like a subaru should, but mine is a second car that gets cleaned more than drove.

I bought a car not a warranty, if it blows I will get stronger internals and go for a higher bhp, but I don't confince my self that if I tell a few lies the car is covered by warranty

Pete have you ever been in a fast subaru i.e not standard? as im sure you will agree they are 2 different cars

Quite clearly they are 2 different cars .................

One will last forever and be backed up by a rock solid warranty - the other will be racked with problems and will have the reliability of a Land Rover!

I'll take the long lasting one, thanks all the same .... especially as there is NO difference in real world driving - I will stay with the unreliable one in a traffic jam quite easily!!

all depends on what you want .. if your after a little more power then get a ppp and keep your warranty,

if you want more than your standard subaru go remap and exhaust you could even go further with new turbos etc

I went for a sports cat in the downpipe and currently running 320/320 but what makes the car fast is the upgraded handling and 6 pot brakes

If you go through life being able to lie to dealers and not worry when things go wrong, by all means try and blag the dealers you have a std car. When you hand over the keys and they go for a drive don't you think they will notice it, my local subaru agent ( now not a subaru agent) could spot a modified car a mile off

can't argue with that one little bit, my car is a hobby not a form of transport
