poor old dear!!
parked up this morning whilst the wife went into the paper shop, some poor old dear pulls up behind me then decides to pull around me into a space in front of me & closer to the shop door. but as she pulls in she scraped down the side of my front bumper. she got out of her car as though nothing had happened. i confronted her to ask "what did think you are doing you have just run into me" the answer came back "sorry dear i,m deaf"
on showing her the damage caused she said oh its nothing i,ll repair it myself for you. before i could do anything she then proceeded to spit on hand and vigourously rub the damaged area trying to get rid of the scuff marks. i finally got her name & telephone number and rang her as soon as i saw the extent of the damage, however i got her daughter in law who said her husband wanted to inspect the damage for himself. i was paid a visit tonight by the husband who attempted to get his mother off the hook. he asked how did i know it was his mother who had done it? simple i replied i was sat in the car at the time. the best was yet to come he said there was a crease in his mothers rear door & wheel arch at 10 1/2" above the ground what could have caused such damage? try measuring to the tear drop on the side of my bumper, which has had the paint taken off it, guess what 10 1/2"!!
he had to admit defeat and agreed to pay for the repairs.

it's such a shame that old people use their age as an excuse, can't believe she tried to get off the hook and then the responsible son steps in to mop up the mess and presumably intimidate you, it's not surprise that PisLewis is sympathising with her

Picasso, sorry to hear about your damage, as like has been said, you were lucky to be the witness at the time.
why? the police wouldn't do anything about this sort of event. No-one injured, minor damage, civil matter. Not even leaving the scene of an accident really
As for pslewis
this coming from someone who's never posted a single picture on scoobynet! And yet claims, amongst many other things, to have a digital camera!
Come on pete, where are the pictures of your car? And what qualifications have you got to prove your a "77 y/o driver, who could outdrive someone else"?
Oh, and please try to answer sensibly pete, and not resort to abuse.
chris.
should of just called the plod when she tryed to walk away
As for pslewis
Yeah, right, can't wait for the pictures

What an old bag!!! Lucky you saw her. Imagine if you hadn't which is what usually happens. Unfortunately, most folk do not take pride in their cars which leaves us lot feeling frustrated. I would try and T_Cut best you can as once the bumper has been re-painted, you loose that origionality. Best of luck mate. If it is any conselation, said old bag has probably shaken her head at one of us in our noisy scoobies!!!!

just been up to the body repair shop - much worse than i thought. the bumper is loose on the front offside corner it has dropped about 10 mm. plus the scuff marks fully revealed since i washed the car are a bit more extensive than originally thought. hope these pics show the damage in a bit more detail.

just got the estimate back from the bodyshop - £236.00 + vat.
bit more expensive than a bottle of t-cut dont you think mr. lewis. wait a minute though they could be using your magical formula
