For the people that live around the Colchester area, where do you get your servicing done. Not really too impressed so far with my local main dealer in them helping me find a car, yet alone servicing the car.
So just wondering if there were any companies around that offer same Subaru parts, and the reasurance?!.
Thanks

I steer clear of the main dealer in Colchester. They totally screwed me around on the one time I took my old classic in for a service and the sales staff are worse than useless. Used Days of Chelmsford for the classic and now use Xtreme for my Spec C. If you're looking to buy a car from a main dealer, its definitely worth talking to Days.
I assume were talking about Haddocks here, I've used them for servicing twice now and found them OK.
I'd appreciate a PM if anybody has any particular horror stories I need to know about.

Haddocks done a good job with sorting out the suspension knocking on my STi, loan car and great service. Not had a service done as yet but i'd take it back to them without hesitation
Try Special Scoobys mate, they're in colchester and I get Andy there to do mine, in fact she's in there today for a full service, and he's got me a sunstrip which he's fitting as well.

special scoobys!, sounds good. Are they purely a garage or have a show room as well?.
Reference to Haddocks, I guess you should always try them, you never know, as has already been said some of you are very happy with them.
Many thanks all, always best to have a back-up, just in case!
Darren.

. Let me tell you, the dealers you want to avoid are the ones in London . . They will try and steal your money before you even get there!
Over the telephone, the London dealer was trying to explain to me that "There are speed limits", and was asking me what my budget was before I even got there! . . .What a Burke!!!!
Call me impressionable, but compared to C.London - Essex for me has its charm!

Ah, good old camera.............still, they are there for all our saftey
yeah right!.
Once my garage is keeping my Impreza warm I will try Haddocks and see how I get on.
Just one question though regarding the other companies mentioned above, with servicing would they stamp the service book like the main dealer would??.

Not sure of the phone number Jon but it's run by a bloke called Andy and it's off of Gosbecks Road, close to the main Toyota dealer in Colchester

I will never go back to Haddocks if I can help it, I'm sick of getting ripped off, cambelt service was £730!!! I've just had a service at Special Scoobys, very impressed with the whole experience. Andy's a really knowledgable bloke, their number is 01206 760074.

Paul:- What Subaru do you have, and was it a routine cam-belt change?.
When I first put this post up I didn't have a Subaru, but now I do, I will go to Haddocks for my servicing and see how they go, I'm not really expecting any problems, as I have already ordered some parts from them, and they do seem to be very helpful.
As for Special Scoobies I will look at them for my exhaust see what they do, and this Andy is a friend of one of my friends, so should be good to get to know him, for top advice and a good service around.
As I asked in the other post further up the page, would special scoobies stamp the service book as Haddocks would do? (don't think they would?, being a non main dealer).
