Default which oil please

gonna do an oil change on my 98 sti type r and just wondering what oil anyone recomends thanks for anyones help cheers

my wrx always had silkolene pro s 10w-50 before i bought it and i've continued to use it. spose to be good stuff, me cars not complained yet anyway

£15 for 5 Litres

A regular 6 month oil change is MUCH MUCH more important than spending silly money on 'over-the-top' oil

However, if you take it on track think about the expensive stuff .........

semi will break down at high temp (like getting battered about by a turbo or just general abuse), so if you drive like Pete the recommended semi is fine (that's all he gets at his age now anyway) as long as you change it regularly.

If you thrash the **** off it then a proper fully synth is recommended like slkolene pro-s or motul.
