Going from a MY02 STi to a MY06 STi
I'm thinking of moving from my Prodrive STi '02 to a new one. Anyone got any thoughts/ viewpoints for me?

Personally im not sure there have been that many noticeable changes in the cars from 02 to 06 to justify it?

Heard of 3rd and 4th going at 20000-40000 on post-classic scoobs. Boxes have always been the achiles heel of scoobs. Was also being slightly tongue in cheek, but there is some truth in it.

Lots more pics in "Gallery" "My new 06 pics" probably on page 2 by now though, you can have a good look, I'll BTTT it so you can find it easier.

However, I'm not sure that's such good advice any more. The UK car now has the 2.5 litre engine vs the 2.0 that the JDM model has, which I'd expect to more than make up for its less sophisticated turbo and heads. Unlike the JDM it's (de)tuned to pass Euro IV emissions, so there should be major power gains to be made from a remap. Both cars now give you DCCD-A, the latest suspension geometry and drivetrain, and the UK car now even comes with the red illuminated dash and HID lights.
I can understand saving a few quid by going for a European import '06, but what's the major benefit of the JDM now?

I'm probably going to go for it, speaking to a dealer today. I usually tend to recycle cars every 2 years, it's just that the STi has been reliable i've stuck with it.
I'm about to pay the last monthly installment for the car, so it's one of those upgrade or keep questions really.
my main problem with the 02 is that damn annoying NSR rattle that they could not fix.
How much of a difference does a DCCD make? and does the 2.5L engine give a better low down torque, as this is where my current car feels a bit lethargic.
