FINALLY GOT MY AN MYO4 STI 8 TYPE UK BUT WITH TSL333!!!
Following my recent threads, I finally got my new car:
WR Blue
MY04 STI Type UK
TSL333
18's (gold)
Prodrive springs
Strut braces front and rear
Fast road geometry set up
13,800 miles
FSSH
IMMACULATE
Sorry Alasdair, I nabbed the photographs from your for sale thread. The only difference now is the car is cleaner!!!
It is a beautiful car to drive and is a credit to the previous and only owner.
My old car w as a MY98 UK turbo with full stainless steel de-cat, so with about another 100bhp to play with, you can imagine I am living the dream at the moment!!!

Very, very nice . Welcome to the world of STI 04 + ownership. My advice is cut up your credit cards now because no matter how good the car feels now, soon, very soon you are going to want even more.....

Handling.
It was about your mileage that my O4 STi ppp started handling real bad, after tracking checks, it turned out to be tyre wear, now got Goodyear F1's fitted, much better-the car had a horrible tendency to track down road markings and "wriggle" over road changes-dangerous!
Even now front tyres are wearing heavily on outside edges, but it at least goes in a straight line.
I spend a lot of time grinning over this car, but sometimes regret it and want out, but as the damn thing has devalued such a lot since new, I'm stuck with it!
Maybe one day I'll get it sorted, any advice would be valued.

From a fellow TSL333 owner - let the grinning begin!!!!!!!!!
I am sure you have a grin like a cheshire cat at the moment, you have certainly bought what looks like a very very clean car and I am sure you will enyoy it.
Heres some pics of mine on a previous thread

Sorry not the best pics as it was 7.00am and pics taken on a mobile phone - which reminds me must go and clean the car and get some tidy pics on the digi camera.
Anyway enjoy the beast Stephen.

The TSL 333 is in essence the same as the PPP however the mapping is individual to your car and not generic as the ppp is.
Panel air filter, exhaust with sports cat, re-mapping and uprated fuel pump. The reult is 330 bhp (305 with ppp) and the reults are smoother power delivery!! As soon as that frost goes, mine is getting a bath!!

Smoother power delivery - but still very brutal, I have to say that when I got the car foot to the floor acceleration used to make me giggle like a girl.
Now I am happy to take it a little easier especially with the recent weather, the car did a bit of back end step out the other week in some rain but in fairness I kept on the power and adjusted the steering as required and she righted herself (foot to the floor is reserved for dry weather and when I am in the mood now).
I remember my first couple of weeks ownership just getting used to the cars performance and handling charcteristics - I am considering carrying a disclaimer for enthusiastic passangers who have never been in a scooby before, oh how i laugh when the car takes off and they either go very quiet or laugh like children on a fairground ride.
Anyway enough from me the sun is rising and it should be warm enough to go TSL cleaning!!

I know what you mean about laughing. I have only done about 100 miles so far, however I could not resist taking it out last night before tea for a quick blast. My old scoob had about 230 bhp which was fast but i remember laughing in the car last night and saying out loud 'this is f@cking ridiculous' gave me a nice warm feeling inside!!!!!!!!!!

How'd the cleaning go Stephen??
My babies been washed, leathered, polished and sealed ready for the winter grime and she's looking good!! Pics later.
Know what you mean about the 5,500 rpm - it all goes a bit mental past those revs I'm sure you will no doubt have a few mad weeks and then gradually start taking it easier, maybe.
Glad your enjoying it and hope you have cleaned the insides of the wheels as well - otherwise Alisdair will be coming over to reclaim his ex pride and joy!! Have to say the pics in the for sale section were cracking as are the ones posted in this thread.
