Default Exhausts (MY99)

Hi All

Sorry if this has been done to death already but just rejoined the scooby community after several years....

Used to have a P1 with scoobysport back and centre...

Just purchased MY99 classic which has std exhaust on!! I would like to upgrade for the power benefits but i'm not sure I want anything as loud as the SS.....

Any thoughts/recommendations much appreciated..

Cheers

Welcome back
I have a Magnex BB/ centre [no cat]
It's just right for me ie reasonable at low revs but perks up when the hammer is down

I had a Scorpion DP, STI de-cat centre and a Magenx 3.5" round BB. All bought second-hand but sounded great for me

Ive got a P1 exhaust on my MY2000 Classic and it sounds spot on, not too loud but a nice burble.

I have a ninja BB - and it sounds great!

It's not too loud. Nice burble at low revs and great when you press the 'loud' pedal. But ot won't annoy you on a long motorway run.

Do you want to go for a full de-cat?

I've now got full de-cat with a prodrive back box on my MY99 and it's not too loud.

If you're not going to full de-cat, then I'd say most back boxes will still be fairly quiet - it's the downpipe that makes the biggest diference.
