Default How long for new rear shock??

MY03 sti has the common knocking noise coming from a rear shock, subaru found the fault two weeks ago and orderd the parts needed. I called them today and they said it still had not been delivered.
Anyone who's had this problem had to wait a while for the part to arrive?
Two weeks seems abit slack to me!!

Cheers guys.

David.

Had mine serviced 4 weeks ago on a Saturday, mentioned the knocking and the shock was their on the Thusrday and fitted the following Saturday .

So either I was lucky or your dealer has forgotten to order it unless of course they have ordered it and it is now on backorder of course.

I would of thought if they are in stock centerally you would be looking at 3-4 days worse case scenario.

Getting rear shock changed on my MY05 under warranty.

Dealer wasn't surprised. Couldn't have been more helpful.

I can't book in till end of month. Getting 1 year underbody seal at the same time.

Had my rear shocks done on my 03 PPP STi last week. They had the car on a Wednesday, ordered the bits on Thursday and had the whole job done by lunchtime Friday.

Main Subaru dealers get 24Hr delivery of spares so theres no reason that yours should'nt be here by now Dave!
