No but be careful because some one could turm up in a Vauxhall Cavalier with modified suspension and standard wheels and blow your Impreza in to the weeds with a sub 10 second 1/4!

If anything like santa pod for ultimate fast car you pays your money and go down strip against similar spec machine, think it either x amount per run or x amount for however many times you que. They give you time for your run (starts when you leave start line) plus a reaction time. Can be cancelled due to rain makes strip very slippery.

I've been to York five or so times this year with the scoob. For RWYB days I think it's £7.50 to enter, and then £10 for as many runs on the strip as you want.

Basically you have your car scrutineered (they check you seatbelts work ) then you join a queue, line up on the line with another car, wait for the lights to turn green and..... GO!!

The road leading up to the strip is a bit rough , so if you have low suspension/splitter etc. you'll have to be careful.

Yes and someone who can spell, could turn up in a top fuel dragster and do the same distance in 4 seconds!. But Hey what do I know. What I asked is does anyone know anything about York RUN WOT YA BRUNG. Not are there any insecure Cavalier drivers out there!!!!!!.

Good point about the weather. The last time I went it started raining around 5 minutes before the end of the session and they closed the strip for safety reasons.

And I don't think 4wd helps as the last car to run was a Scooby and it launched off the line with all 4 wheels spinning and started to slide sideways!
