classic carbon boot lid
does anybody on here know were i could get a carbon boot lid for my classic impreza, I have seen them for sale before but i can't remember were? can anyone help?????

Are you serious ? Carbon fibre is very light. The bonnet I had could be picked up with two fingers !!!
The problem, is that there's a lot of suedo (sp?) carbon fibre parts, that are actually a combination of carbon, and glass fibre.
This is because to make a "good quality, light weight" carbon parts, they need to be "autoclaved", a very expensive process, and used in motorsport, etc', whilst the cheap stuff you generally see, is "wet layed" like fibre glass normally is.

i didn't know there was an alloy one
Out of two RAs i've had, and my mate's RA, the only alloy panel was the bonnet.
also, iirc carbon fibre bonnets are slightly heavier than the alloy ones, so maybe not that useful?

Impreza panels are very, very thin especially the front wings, which aren't really that big when you look at them. If you have alloy front wings it would be a first, they certainly never left the factory like that!
