Default cat 1 alarms

i need to fit a cat 1 alarm to my STI to get it thru the ESVA test. would a clifford alarm get me thru this test as i have heard there is only a few specific types of alarms that they will approve even though clifford is a top system ???

Mine has a Clifford Concept 500? BlackJack (anti car jack) and that's a Cat 1, which was good enough for the ESVA i believe. I would've thought most Clifford would be Cat 1.

Quite typically the insurers only wanted a Cat 2 immobiliser this time...
