North of England dealers?
or South Scotland
I have a chum who is looking to 'join the club' he has seen the light and will be replacing his French ‘car’ with a scoob.
He wants to spend circa 7-9k
to buy from a dealer who knows what is what
a UK turbo (PPP would be nice too)
ideally under 50k miles
Min of 12 month warranty
All recommendations welcome

Should have said:
He is not really looking for a Subaru main dealer, but more of a performance car / specialist dealer.
He is based in Cumbria

Warranty aside, he'll get a lot better car for his money going private and could do a lot worse than buying from an enthusiast. Many of the cars owned by people on here are cherished like children. You also have the oppotunity to view the sellers previous 100 posts to see what sort of person they may be and whether they partake in trackdays/drag strips etc, and the state of tune regarding any mods. If you're unsure about any aspect of the car just ask on here for instant technical advice. As for warranty, Scoobs are very reliable and if he buys wisely he shouldn't have much bother. Get involved with your local Scoob club, which I guess may be TTS (Tyne Tees Scoobs), and you will gain valuable advice and maybe make friends with very knowlegable people who could help you find the right car. There's lots of ropey rubbish kicking around on 2nd hand car dealers forecourts and they can be well presented, so it's easy to make a mistake. We have a so called "performance specialist" in Keighley, W.Yorks and once you know their reputation you wouldn't even want to drive down their road, let alone buy a car from them. Happy shopping.

If you want a warranty then a dealer is the only reasonable way to go ....
Check out the T plate Classic Turbo on SP's website here, complete with STi8 scoop.

The only dealer i know of round the NE is Dennis Common. I went to chat to him when i was first looking for a scoob and found him very over priced and not that interested in the customer or helping you out. He was willing to sell me any car weather it was what i was after or not as long as he was going to get his hand on my money. I know that is a dealers job but you guys know what i am saying.

Although they're never interested in selling cars!
