Good RR nr Leeds
Having just fitted my Scott Taylor chip and full de-cat system i want to make sure everything is running right. Does anyone know any good rolling roads nr Leeds/Bradford who are scooby specalist's. Or any good ones within 100 miles.
Cheers,

Only thing you may find disheartening is that Scoobyclinics rollers are very accurate, so you may not be blown away by your figures. Well Lane are known to read a bit high, which makes all the cash spent on mods seem worthwhile. Your choice, truth or pride

well lane at batley mate ,honestly the lads there are amazing with the cars had mine there last saturday, really made a difference !!! closer than scoobyclinic just watch the cameras around there

For me it would have to be the clinic everytime . .had no troubles with them . . Check out the 'Dealer and Third Party Supplier Queries Section', plenty of positive threads about them

corradoboy : Do you have firsy hand experience of using Well Lane's rolling road and other rolling roads with the same vehicle at the same spec or are you just repeating what somebody else said/posted without factual evidence.
If you have rolling road maps to support your statement please post them.

If it's just the accuracy of Well Lanes Power figures you're questioning, then I've had my Gtir on their roller 3 times now. Stock it gave 215bhp, exactly as quoted stock. with a filter and exhaust it gave 234bhp and with a dawes device on top it gave 246bhp. I ran a 12.71s 1/4 with that 246bhp, so I'd say they're pretty accurate and not over reading at my power levels, as every man and his dog seem to claim they do.
If it's their tuning abilities, I wouldn't take my car there, but I would take a Scooby there as they seem to specialise in them more.

So let me get this right. You are happy to come to a conclusion on Well Lane's rolling road and post it on a public forum based on what you were told by Pat Hebron, freelance mapper and Adam the front man for Scooby Clinic (not bad guys BTW) who are competitors with Well Lane.
The saying that springs to mind is "Did you come down the Clyde on a banana boat pal"
No ! I don't bother doing RR's as I'm quite happy with the power of my car and concentrate on handling and driver development. I did however discuss this with Pat (the mapper) and Adam at Scoobyclinic when I was considering doing some power mods and my comments were based on their qualified opinions given first hand to me.

Any opinion is based on what you know. Mine was based on what I know and was posted to be helpful to another forum user. You on the other hand seem to want to be abusive and humiliating to anyone you feel you can use your extensive knowlege on, instead of being constructive. I have read your posts in the past, have met you and spoken to you, and have previously drawn my own conclusions on your character, and these posts substantiate my opinion, but I'll keep that to myself.

I've used both rolling roads, and I personally prefer scoobyclinic, its more expensive but you spend more time on the RR and its more accomodating with my needs, you pay your money and take your choice.
And I live in Leeds!

I would use any of them, and then use the same one so you can compare any further mods, simple as that.
Harvey, didnt you spend a day or so earlier this year where you visited Well Lane, Scoobyclinic and G force with you WRX? I thought your results were posted somewhere, but cant find them.

That is correct Steven and it is the second time I have done that exercise. Unfortunately the Scooby Clinic result had to be discounted. It was in the early days of them setting up their equipment but having gone through the exercise twice and having numerous results for several cars and being able to compare Well Lane with 8 other locations I think it is unfortunate that some people make unsubstantiated claims about Well Lane over reading.
Clearly some rolling roads will read more than others but in my experience some read more than Well Lane. As you have posted above, it is best to use one set of rollers that are consistent to identify the effect of changes and tuning.
Trying to compare one type of rolling road with another is a waste of time and should be pretty obvious to anybody that takes an interest in how the things work.
