Get a proper valuation from Glass.co.uk, costs £2.95, that gives todays trade value, that's what (most) of the dealers will be working to, if the figure is to low for you, probably wasting your time phoning round the dealers.. they are not likely to give you much for the 'extras', better selling them on s'net IMO.

one dealer said glass price was 6500 which is a joke, and another said 7950 but would only buy for 7500. might have a ring round, is parkers no where near the right price?

the depressing thing is that a Scooby-owning mate has an W reg with 90K (FSSH) - got offered £3500 as a trade in
Unless yours has no miles at all, £6500 sounds fairly reasonable! (from a stealer!!)
YOur best bet is to hang on and sell privately.
Another mate has a 94M WRX (import) - hasn't had a sniff from the Autotrader in weeks. It's priced competitively too
Seems that Scoobies can't be given away at the moment. Perhaps it's the same with all cars - is the used-market cr@p at present?

Wow,
i cant believe you are getting offered so little for your cars!
My car is a 94M WRX and although its not standard i went to the garage i bought it from and was offered £7200,which i was disappointed with considering i'd paid £10k in February.
Considering the price of scoobs under 5 years old i would take the loss considering the crap px rates elsewhere.Get yourself up north cars always cost more up here.

^^ I think its a bit unfair to say they rip people off, end of the day its supply and demand, if you can get a better price elsewhere, then don't sell to the trade, simple... their prices reflect what they need to spend on a car to get it saleable, warrenty, cleaned up, bits replaced that need replacing etc then a profit for themselves.
I've just bought a car which on Glasses has a retail tag of £10,150 but if I want to trade it tomorrow its £7,570, fair enough..
You can look at parkers and try wisebuyers.co.uk, but you won't find the traders using those sites, pay £2.95 to Glasses and you will get the exact same info the traders are working from... TBH if you are trading you are really taking the lowest possible money for it, try private and drop your price, everything will sell at the right price, good luck..
