Talking changing the maf sensor

afternoon people just wondering if tou can help .I am planning on changing the maf sensor on my 96 sti (big shout out to andy9577 for all the parts ) seems straightfoward eneough,but i have heard somewhere that i need to disconnect the battery for 30 mins afterwards to complete the job,is ths right?.any tips would be much appricated cheers kot

The 30 mins disconnect is presumably to reset the ECU. Generally it is advisable after changing something like the MAF sensor.

does anyone know if you still have to reset the ecu via the green/black connecters under the dash as well
