Default New Improved BP Ultimate

I put £10.00 of the new improved BP Ultimate in the car this morning
and i must say it seemed to make the car run very well.

I grabbed a copy of the leaflet about it and it say's,
"97 RON but typically higher", so does this mean it's now on par with
Optimax?

Anyway i don't have a Knocklink fitted at present but would like to know
if anyone else has used it and felt the bennefit, or if you have a Knocklink
fitted, is it showing much activity !

I use BP/ARAL Ultimate 100ron in my MY00 and my car seems to prefer it over the Shell V-Power 100 ron, no idea it is is better or not.

My cars is mapped on optimax, at high revs 6.500 I see no more than the second green light , light up on my knock link, !
ulitmate at high revs I see the red show!
Tesco 99 ron I get the same readings as optimax.
all readings backed up with the apexi monitor, all noticed with the same weather conditions, on the same streach of road at the same time of day{ 7am on the way to work}! hope this helps ?
It has me!
ALSO all noticed in 3rd gear!

How do you account for that? Is it the fuel or no d/v?

Its the dump that I lost that has pushed mpg up, tescos is just 4p cheaper per litre than optimax around here!

Not trying to make an argument either, just interested in why or how

If my name was Pete, I think I'd change it to something else

I use Tesco's whenever I can and find it at least equal to Opti on the Knocklink. Ultimate is cr@p but a good way to test the k/l's working. Wouldn't bother trying the new Ultimate, if there is one as Tesco's is so much cheaper anyway.

So, would you say that Tesco's 97 RON is better than BP Ultimate?
