Dont know about the new age cars, but the rear seats are a dawdle to take out of a classic (going to do mine this morning to fit a rear strut brace!)

The seat base is held on by 2 bolts at the front (just above the end of the carpet) .... take these out and remove the base. This then uncovers 2 more bolts at the bottom of the back part .... take these out and remove the back part .... job done!

BTW put the seats somewhere safe .... AND CLEAN!!
