Default Urgent Help Needed.....

Ive got a claim going through with our warranty company (motorplan) for a faulty gear box second and third gear went and we were told it was mechanical failure from them and the people we used to strip it.

We have rung them this morning to check whats happening there saying they have rejected to claim due to not having proof that the gearbox came from the car!!

Is there any where i can look and find any proof?

Thanks in advance

A Statutory Declaration made by the mechanic(s) who removed the gearbox should suffice. The warranty company may refuse to accept it (theyre only looking to avoid the claim, rather than having a real issue with provenance); youll probably find that the person with whom youre dealing doesnt even know what it is, but if you end up in County Court itll be more than enough. A solicitor will chage between £5 and £10.
