ECU Reset - Some observations
Did an ECU reset on my UK MY98 over the weekend. Never done it before. Anyway I did notice a small improvement in pick-up (ie, felt like more torque). Anyway, real benefit came in fuel economy.
I do the same trip every week, from Buckinghamshire to Yorkshire - aboyt 200 miles. I have a little program on my palm pilot that works out MPG based on mileage and fuel costs. For the last 10 weeks I've been averaging between 24 and 26 MPG very consistently. Today I got 30 mpg! I wasn't driving any different to normal either.
Wish I'd done the reset earlier - would have saved a fortune.
Do these observations add up - or could it be a fluke?
