changing double din to single - help!
#1
Following the demise of my sexy pioneer double din head unit im forced into buying a nice new kenwood one
But rather than just put a cubby hole bin under the new stereo, i want to either put in my lamda/knock sensors there, or put in some extra gauges.
Anyone done this that can help me and point me in the right direction?

Hi Pholt
Posted an answer to similar question like this a little while ago mine involved use of MDF, sandpaper, and a bit of black vinyl but if you do a search for pod gauges in interior section there's 15 post.

Hi ptholt
We also had a PIONEER double unit and fitted a single unit, 2 gauges and a GReddy
boost control below it. We took out the lighter and ashtray to make room.
We made the space filler from MDF drilled
out the correct size holes etc. then covered
in black vinyl to match the dash.
All in all its a straight foward job
You will need to use 5mm/10mm MDF.
If you need any black vinyl, I've got some
spare, and if you want some let me know
and I'll post some to you. I'm going away
next week for 2 weeks so e-mail asap.
