Attempt theft/bonnet release
For the second time, some thieving little ******* has tried to nick my car!
On both occassions the bonnet has been popped, setting off the alarm, scaring them off.
How are they managing to pop/release the bonnet and what can i do about it/stop it.
Help!

Buy a pittbull, sit him in the cr with the windows open lol
But seriously, they can only be opportunist muppets. I cant really see what good its going to do them anyway once they are under.
Dont know how there doing it but ad be careful. when they realise they cant steal it, they may well damage it, it happened to a mate of mine, they go inside, they smashed all the indicators, several of the interior plastics around the colum, when they realised they couldnt take it, they sh** on the seats and put every window on the car out.
See this is the mentality of the scum who would rather steal our cars, rather than go get a job and buy thier own...
So hey, its your own fault, im sure thats what goes through there brain cell just before they steal something

Nice one mate. Death to all car thieves!
Dont worry all, i am in a position to exact some revenge for everyone who has saved for cars and mods, only for scum to steal/damage it!

The only wires routed to the under-bonnet area are the siren's earth and power supply wires, the coded data wire to the siren (which will cause the self powred siren to trigger if cut whilst the alarm is armed) and the bonnet switch wire. Even with access to these wires, they are of no use to a potential thief.
From 2001MY trim removal is required to access the siren, but even on 99 and 2000 MY where the siren is exposed, it contains it's own power supply and will continue to sound even if the cable to the siren is cut.
Even if discarded, the siren will have sounded and the rest of the alarm will continue to immobilise the vehicle, so very little can be achieved under the bonnet.
