any recommendations on wether to get the 2005 sti or wait for new 2006 model will i lose aload of cash on 2005 model when new sti type 25 comes out or wait a bit to see if prices come down before launch of new model dont know what to do for best any help pleeeeeeease

If you're buying new you'll lose loads of cash either way. If you wait till the 06 model is out you should get about 3.5-4k off the 05 model. I got just shy of 4k off my MY54 STi just as the 05 model was being launched. The big drop in price was a huge persuasion for me. If you're not bothered too much by that then why not wait a bit longer and take them both out for a spin? And...do you really like the new look of the Seat.... I mean 06 Scooby?

Why?? Have you driven the STI MY05?? Have you seen the STI MY05?? The bit I might agree with is getting the last of the MY05 model a bit cheaper towards the launch.
My belief is that the STI 05 will be the more desired car in 3 years time when both cars are around the same age.
The way I look at the 05 model is that they have been making changes for the last 5 years and now I think they have it reasonably perfected. I always worry about being the guinea pig with a new model.

Ok maybe I am biased but I definitely prefer the look of the MY05 model. It has tonnes of character.

Having said that Im sure after a while we will be saying same about the MY06.
