Default What's a 04 Solberg Edition worth?

There's a red 04 Solberg Edition STi for sale at http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/49975.htm and I'm interested in it except that it's a European import (Malta or Cyprus) and I've been told that they're the ones that hold their value least of all. It's a already a buyers market and the price of the car is £19995 which seems steep to me considering that that would buy you a brand new European STi but he's flexible on price so what would be a fair offer perhaps weighted to be slightly fairer for me

Does anyone know anything about this model, spec wise?

This is the car that the WR1 is based upon, but they then tuned the WR1 a little
Standard 265ps, comes with RE070's and A-DCCD.

I think its the colour as you can't get a UK or JDM STI in red... this is only a guess. I saw the same add on PH and i too wondered what a Peter Solberg edition was.

Someone must know.

So this has the standard 265bhp rather than the WR1's 320??

Would say £20K is way over the top for a car that should really be valued at slightly more than a standard 04 euro import!

Have you checked the insurance on it??

The ad reads as though it's same spec as a WR1 but if like you say, if it's only standard STi spec then it's a bit steep. What's the warranty situation with the European imports?

Car is a Maltese special edition and is basically a standard 265hp STi but with DCCD and black STi seats.
