Cool NEW PRODRIVE SPOILER PHOTOGRAPHED!!!!

I believe this is a scoop (okay, very funny, I know it's a spoiler but I am sure it's not SIAL...).

I saw this on the back of an 05 WRX whilst filling up with Optimax. Pictures taken in Balsall Common (near from the NEC and rather close to Prodrive I believe).

The logos on the side of the spoiler are quite large and are in carbon fibre.

Prodrive member of staff (he was wearing one of their blue shirts) was in the queue waiting to pay, so the photographs aren't very good (had to take them quickly). I was also in a hurry or I would have gone to speak to him.

Looks like they've based it somewhat on the WRC car....

I can't remember seeing this spoiler anywhere before, so I've assumed it's their new, yet to be released, design!!!

All I can say is "I WANT ONE"

I think that's just the angle I shot it from; looks great in the flesh. It's a shame I was late for a meeting, otherwise I would've got some more shots and spoken to the driver.

I like the look 2... different angles from the norm but less in your face than for example the WR1 wing....

thumbs up from me....

Looks like an evolution of the RB5 style new-age wing that was on the US Prodrive site for ages but never released. I believe the US Prodrive marketing has gone through some upheavel (sp ?) recently and the site is no longer active to post a link. It was as that but without the inner vertical fins, which IMHO spoil a good spoiler. If it wasn't rigid enough then why didn't they use carbon

I think no spoiler or a very small lip spoiler (thinking M5 here) is the way forward.

That spoiler would need a new boot on an STI (retro fit) - fit a WRX tho by the look of it.

Think he means the mounting holes on the boot.. they look a bit more inboard, and the WRX spoiler looks like it has quite inboard mountings as well..

Though saying that i dont know where the mounting holes on the STI spoiler is so i could be talking nonsense..

Wrx has 4 mounting holes - 2 either side, close by to these are 2 holes with plastic grommets to locate the spoiler and a hole for wiring for the stop light..

I believe the Sti has the same but additional ones across the bootlid..

Cool

I think it looks very cool......and yes, the STI has loads of holes all the way across the bootlid, so this version is obviously for WRX.
