Default £485 for a Set of Flaps

Does anyone know any dealers who do not charge ridiculously extortionate prices for Subaru/Prodrive add on parts.

I've been quoted a quite unbelievable £485 including VAT and fitting for a set of Prodrive mudflaps in black by SGT in Burnham.

First of all who the hell are they trying to fool. I mean what are these mudflaps made from GOLD? No rubber......... how on earth can they justify this price.

If someone could point me in the direction of a dealer who does not charge 1,000,000% markup on transactions but would be most grateful.

I don't think even Jordans flaps are worth £485?

Copied from subaru website.

Front Black Prodrive Mudflaps Helps To Protect The Bodywork From Flying Stones And Reduce Road Spray In Wet Weather. Supplied In Pairs (4 Door Models Only)

£ 112.49 (inc. VAT, exc. Fitting - unless otherwise stated above)

Part No. SACC2593

So the flaps cost £225 inc VAT so they want £260 inc VAT for fitting I think they have made a mistake ask them for a breakdown on how they arrived at £485.

Fit them yourself, its easy justa bit time consuming. Thats probably why a dealer charges so much. Took me about 3-4 hours to get it spot on and neat/tidy. Worth the effort

And at £50 per hour.. probably more that £200+vat = £235 - I can see this being a correct quote.. does seem a lot though

I've got Scott's ones on mine, and I got them fitted at a local garage for £35 or so.

Looks the business too.

Tell me about it, just caught mine on a kerb and ripped one of the rears off.

Paid half price though as they forgot to bill me for 1 set
