Default Tech help please, req'd urgently

Yep it always happens. Pretty much got the car up together for its week holiday at a little place I know and love in Germany and it starts making a strange noise.

The symptoms are

When driving the car, especially when warm if i turn the wheel to the right off centre it will make a squeak noise. This can be heard if just slightly turned but is more pronounced on larger tighter bends. It is not a metalic noise, more of a rubber sound ( like you have a budgie stuck in your wheel). When coming to a halt on full right hand lock the noise is louder. It is a rotational thing not constant, squeak squeak squeak.
Just been at my mates garage where we have had the car on the ramps and nothing is showing. No shiny surfaces, nothing bleeding etc.

Any ideas? only on turning right, rotational noise, not brakes they have just been replaced, made the noise before and after........

Mods I have posted this here and in technical please leave for a little while before deleting.

Have you tried spinning the wheel with lock on while the car's in the air? (In other words is it just when the suspension is loaded?)

Well if it's still there with your suspension unloaded then it's not:

The wheel catching anything as it rotates (as it will be in a different position) - Always rule out the obvious...

It also reduces the chance of it being suspension related....

And it will give you a better chance of hearing where it's coming from...

With the car on the ground I can get all around the wheel and there is clearance. That rules out the wheel catching anything I think.

Could it be the wheel bearing? I know what a knackered bearing normally sounds like and this isnt it, but could it be?

I wouldn't have thought it would be the wheel bearing with a squeaking noise - also with it only being with one direction makes it a bit unlikely.

Difficult question I know but can you tell roughly where the noise is coming from?

If I had to take a guess then I'd be looking at the cv joint but if it's the cv joint then I'd expect to be able to hear it while the car is in the air...

Brakes were changed on Thursday the noise was there before and again after. Its more of a rubber sound than a stone / metallic sound
