The guy is not from Norway he is from Iceland!!
This is possibly a world record as the fastest 'known' manual car was the Rigoli boys with 10.02s
All respect.
Three Scoobs with 10s quarters and one with a 9s quarter - can't be bad
Evos won the team event though
Keith Cowie conquered all before him and finished with a 9.3s quarter at 160mph

Must be over 600bhp??
Not sure if they have a sequential/dog box in the car now though..but his gear changes were mucho faster than last year!

Well done to Haldor, Matt and co at RCM and especially to the tuning guru bloke from Motec, (who is he ?) they really have that car flying now
Not my best day I'm afraid.
Only had the one 1/4m warm up run, started off on my std bridgestone road tyres with a 10.4 @ 140 then went across to the handling circuit and promptly broke both a front driveshaft and centre diff in one go
I was really looking forward to getting the soft slicks on like the others and giving it some real stick but that will need to be another day once I work out how to keep the drivetrain intact !

We could not believe you were out of the contest after seeing your first and only run, I have never seen another Impreza look so spectacular, ever! The whole start procedure where it looked like you had some kind of skyline set up able to burn only the rear tyres was new, how did you do it? then the full launch with all four tyres spinning as if you had an extra 400 bhp over last year and an easy 10.4 sec time to start off with! amazing, it really made my day seeing that, even more impressive than the 9.3 sec skyline for some reason. Got to say though after seeing that starting run and if you were putting a better set of wheels and tyres on to run after that, I think you would have been in the late nines and beating Haldors car in the process. What is the official bhp/torque figure for your car now? 700 bhp @ flywheel? 600 lbs torque? and now stripped out! Just sorry you only got the one run, better luck next time.

Nice to see the Imprezas improving so much this year.(In their times @ a second).
Perhaps next year. We will see Paddle shifts and driveshafts with a little more elasticity!

I have the original DCCD which puts most power to the rear and I have a hydraulic handbrake on the front wheels. Nice for the burnouts
Not sure regards power as it has not been near a rolling road !
The AP22 performance meter that I use shows 520bhp at the wheels (before the nitrous)

Andy, how much nitrous are you using? Surely you got to be 700bhp to get near 10.4 even with stripped interior, box, legal slicks etc and nearly 750 to get 10.1secs, maybe even 800 for a 9 pass?......thats a lot of NOS on top of say 600hp?
When you think the RC evo couldn'et get quicker than a 10.2 with at least 930bhp, and some even say 1100bhp was quoted, it makes these scoobs unbelievable!
cheers
