not that i am thinking of doing this, but...

can you have a scooby converted to run on gas without remapping etc...?

just curiuos if anyone knows what the result would be (apart from a bit less bhp)

I seem to remember reading an article a while back that said LPG conversions not recommended for turbo charged cars.
I cannot remember the reason why though!

Default I'VE DONE IT

MY HUSBAND HAD HIS SCOOBY GAS CONVERTED DONT KNOW ABOUT THE MAPPING BIT, BUT THERE IS A VERY SLIGHT LOSS OF POWER WHEN PULLING AWAY BUT RUNS NORMAL OTHERWISE. NOW SPEND £12 A WEEK INSTEAD OF £40 A WEEK FOR ABOUT 250 MILES.

yeah i was looking into having it converted but with the price of having it done in the first place u dont really save much in the long run unless u ocver alot of miles.

just looked on a conversion company's website and specified the car (£1600 for conversion) they didnt mention any probs with turbos. surprising. they recon £850 pa saving doing 12,000 miles.

if the power loss was negligible then maybe...

no stop it.
