100,000 miles exactly when I got home
My 02 WRX hit exactly 100,000 miles when I got home this evening, not bad for a 2 1/2 year old Scoob. Shame the spedo has the extra digit, would have been nice to go back to zero
Am I the highest mileage Scoob driver on Scoobynet?
Dread to think how much it's cost getting here and what the bills will be getting like for the next 2 years!

Crickey! An my02 on 100,000 Mines a my99 and just done over 98,000, and I thought that was steep
I've been keeping a spreadsheet this year on how much I've spent on fuel, which was a bad idea, as I'm over £1500 so far! All happy motoring though

wifes legacy turbo is now on 170k-running decat, intake mods and manual boost controller(13-14psi peak but boost ramps up quicker). regularly driven in an enthusiastic manner and used as a towcar.
always warmed gently and cooled gently after a run tho and oil/fiter change every 3k.
i'd say you had a bit of life in the car yet

Phew! Nice to see some other high milers in here too
I bought the car new 1st November 2002 so they're all my miles. I also have a Sport that has had about 25,000 put on by me when I start worrying about the resale of the WRX but now I'm past that. The Sport is a 97 with 130k.
It's not all been trouble free motoring though. I had a new short motor put in at 76,000 due to the piston rings, or so I was told. It was drinking oil but it's started doing it again, now narrowed down to either the turbo (unlikely) or valve stem seals. Thankfully, I no longer have anything to do with the main agent muppets that mucked me around since 30k saying nothing was wrong and thanks to the power of ScoobyNet found Subaru4you and that has taken the pain out of ownership. I strongly suggest people check out good indie's like them, not only does it save money but your car is better looked after - in my experience anyway.
Mods in order - Eibach's and Powerstation alignment at around 20k, downpipe decat at 30k, STi back box at 30k, centre decat at 50k and Scoobysport backbox at 50k, new short motor at 76k (should have been done at 30k!) and what I should have done at the start, PPP (grafted from another P/X car by Subaru4you) at 96,000!
Hassles other than the engine hassles have been very few. Occasional sticky 3rd gear on hot days after a run and that's it. Had a new clutch at around 90k and the F1 tyre wear has been very good, around 26k on the fronts and just one set of discs, so I'm not a manic driver!
Naturally the main agent say's it will be in bits long before I reach my target 200,000. The way I see it is that if I needed a replacement box and engine it's cheaper to do that than P/X with today's prices and it still has a 52 plate on it and looks good. OK, it is a bug eye but I love it and it's been my friend so it's staying.
Odds on getting to 200,000 on this engine and box?
Oh, any thoughts about decat and PPP? Is a knocklink a good idea?
Cheers!
Mike

Find that quite amazing! Is this a company car? Do you have a hard driving style? Or is the type of norm for an Impreza that does high mileage? If so I have been v v v lucky, although I doubt it.
