I often rinse mine off in the rain. If it's got a bit grubby the rain water over several hours leaves all the muck well solulised in the water and comes off instantly, especially if you have a good layer of wax on. I mostly do it when I've just got home and the car's covered in crap from $hite weather, and I feel it's better to get it of quickly and easily than wait for it to dry on and be harder to remove. Takes all of 5 minutes, just with cold water, no detergent. Best time is just after its stopped though, or first thing in the morning when it's dewy. Really easy to clean then.
the lazy persons wash with minimal effort!, the cars pre-wetted [Is that a word?], a quick sponge wash and leave the rain to rinse clean.
Any one else have the polish problem ?, Always bloomin happens to me, dry the car off, get half way through applying a coat of polish and then from nowhere a bloomin great grey cloud!!!!! It doesn't take a great amount of rain just a few drops and the polish is a a pig to remove!

Washed and vac'd mine in the rain last night, had been up to Wales for the weekend, car was dirty from motorway miles, and kids eating crisps etc in the back.
