Registering my car in UK

I've got my MY00 Turbo in Northern Ireland, it was a German Import and has been de-registered from there now. Before I can register it with DVLA Swansea and get UK number plates for it I obviously need an MOT. Does anyone know if they would accept an MOT Certificate from a test centre in Northern Ireland???
