Default dawes type device need help

I have today fitted the dawes type device to my car. (its not made by dawes but is basically the same thing)

It is fitted between the actuator pipe and the pipe coming from the turbo neck.

Problem is I cannot get it to go any lower than 15-16 psi.. i have screwed the thing right out... because of the boost pressure i am hitting I’m also triggering the fuel cut.

should it be doing this.?

try squeezing the spring between your fingers to shorten it a little, then start again!

do you have it the wrong direction???

it will have a small ball in the end that should point towards the turbo neck..........with the open end towards the actuator
