No neither do I, so whenever I fill up I reset the trip counter, then I know approx how far I've got left.

Even if I don't fill it, I have a useful idea from the trip counter how far it is likely to go cos I compare my miles witht hte gauge when I'm bored at traffic lights etc.

It's not an exact science but, as you have discovered, a worthwhile one!

I reckon youl be fine. I have 10 litres/2 gallons left when my fuel light comes on so 1/4 of a tank will be ok.

You should fine - you could do 40 gentle miles with the warning light on before absolutely having to fill up. The reserve (i.e. after warning light comes on) is about 10 litres.

Cool

Whilst driving around like my grandmother due to those tw@ts at Stanlow, I have managed a very creditable 97 miles from a quarter of a tank. However, the satisfaction of acheiving that figure is outweighed by the fact that it was the most boring 97 miles I have ever had the misfortune to travel.

Apart from that is, any trip I have to undertake with Maxwell Straker in his old mans car!

Thumbs up

Whilst I am aware of the vagaries of petrol guages, do you seriously only expect around 160 miles from a 60 litre tank full?

I run my std MY00 on SUL and usually expect 300 miles and the light'll be on.
