Default Front diff oil top up

Just checked my front diff oil level on my 02wrx with the dipstick i didn't know existed till now and the level is approaching the low mark.
Driveway on a slight incline so will check more accuratlely on level ground.
My question is how much oil does it take when full as it looks awkward to top up and i don't want to over-fill.
Thanks

The greatest expert in the whole of Scoobydom will, no doubt, soon be along to assist!
Meanwhile.
Yes, do on level.
Fill slowly through dipstick hole and check level constantly.
I have a Classic so not sure about Newage but on Classic some here suggest slight overfilling is a good idea.
As I told the expert I referred to above, always a good idea to read your car's manual.

Sorry, I should have corrected poster.
It is transmission oil dipstick.
Front diff, as we all know, in transmission casing, centre diff too.

Yup.
You UK or JDM?
It's in manual, in Japanese if JDM.
It's so unusual isn't it.
When I collected mine dealer pointed it out.
Good idea really, mines never changed level from when I've changed oil.
At least you can check and if it's down look for leaks or problems.
Btw, IM technical bod told me if oil comes out looking blackish this could indicate seals on centre diff going.

Now, serious reply,

Don't overfill the frigging thing like I did and have to drain the oil at 1am!!

There are 2 positions which 'feel' like you have pushed the dipstick correct and fully - obviously make sure its fully in!! I didn't and hence tipped a litre in

As it only takes 3.5 litres ..... that was 33% I added!

Mind you, draining it out was surprisingly easy - even for an OAP!

Maybe we ask questions to make the scooby boffins feel good

Plus, when i was thinking about the oil level prob it was nine at night and i wasn't going to the car to dig out the manual when i was already logged onto Scoobynet.

One last thing, it gave you a subject to make a reply to

Fair comment.
Tip - Make sure you are on LEVEL ground, checking the gearbox oil is VERY level sensitive.
