STI 7 exhaust questions....
hi everyone
i am new to this forum, but i have been a subaru owner for 3years now......hope its not too late to join..lol
i am currently thinking of changing to a STI 7(bugeye), the problem is i know nothing about them, i have heard many storys about them...one of the is the exhaust.
is the UK STI have different exhaust as the JDMs?? cos if i do get one, i want to know what to mod it with.....will a US spec exhaust fit a UK STI?? also have been told this will get a CEL?? is this with the downpipe or mid-pipe?? is it hard to fit the CEL fix???
as i have had a classic for years and have no idea are this the same as classics...
many thanks
kevin

Hello and welcome to SN.
Not sure about the differences between JDM, US and UK exhausts, but the sensor is on the centre section of the exhaust and the cel fix is easy to fit, just a case of snipping some wires and attaching 'em to the cel fix box

Hi Kevin,
One thing you might want to change is the naming convention of the car.
There's always been big confusion regarding these STI7, STI8, STI9 numbers on here.
Much better and easier to understand if you just refer to it as MY02, MY03 etc.
However I've no idea about compatability between UK, US & JDM cars, sorry.
