Default Help on Alloy Wheel fitment for Bugeye

i have the following:
Subaru Impreza 2002 (WRX bugeye) 18" WRX
(it is actually a GX 2.0 but iv been told the fitting is exactly the same)

Iv still got the standard alloys on them and am looking to upgrade to 17"s or 18"s. I have not modified anything to it regards wheels/alloys. Admittedly i know very little about alloys but like everything iv been doin my research on this but still have a few questions.

1. Bolt Pattern is 5x100 - what does PCD stand for and does it relate to this?

2. Whats the difference between 5/100-114 & 5/110-120. Im struggling to
determine what the last 3 digit figure stands for. Its for some alloys i may be
interested in. It also says 7 x 17". (what does the 7 stand for??)

3. ET is wheeloffset should be Et45 - Et55 right?

4. Tyres 224/40/18 or 215/45/17 (for 18" and 17" respectively) ?

any help would be much appreciated

PCD stands for (pitch circle diameter) and is the diameter of a circle drawn through the centre of your wheel's bolt holes. PCD is measured in millimetres and also indicates the number of studs/bolts the wheel will have

cheers dude makes sense.

whats bout:

2. Whats the difference between 5/100-114 & 5/110-120.

Also 7 x 17"
7.5 x 17"
8 x 18"

The 17/18 obviously refers to the size of the alloy wheels but what bout
the 7, 7.5, 8 digits???
Will these all fit on a bugeye?

The 7, 7.5 and 8 is how wide the wheel is. The PCD you want is 5x100.
Tyres you'll probably need are 215/45/17 for 17" and 225/40/18 for 18"

I'm not sure how wide you can go for a BugEye, but I would say 7.5 would be OK. Try in the wheels, tyres & brakes section
